Cape Breton Regional Police say foul play is not suspected in the death of a man whose body was found in a Glace Bay park.

Police were called to the Park Street area of Renwick Brook around 12:30 p.m. Monday after a citizen spotted the body from the walking track.

One witness told CTV News the body was found near a park bench.

Major crime and forensic units responded to the scene, along with the medical examiner’s office.

Police say the body has been sent for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death, but foul play isn’t suspected.

The man’s identity has not been released.
