TRACADIE, P.E.I. - Police in Prince Edward Island say they're looking for two men after a man was assaulted while camping with a woman on a beach.

The RCMP say the alleged assault occurred Sunday between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Tracadie Beach.

The Mounties say two men approached the tent and physically assaulted the male camper.

The victim suffered serious injuries and is being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown.

Investigators say the men fled the scene in a vehicle and were believed to be travelling with several women.
