A man is facing charges after a woman was struck by a vehicle in Trenton, N.S.

New Glasgow Regional Police were called to the corner of Main and Oak streets around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a 27-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle and knocked to the ground. She was treated for minor injuries.

Police said Monday that they were looking for the driver of a dark blue SUV believed to be involved in the hit and run.

A 22-year-old man from Pictou County has been charged and issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, and also for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s licence.
