The RCMP say a woman whose body was discovered in the Aroostook River in Tinker, N.B. has been identified as an American citizen.
Her body was found in the river at the Tinker Dam shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say she has been identified as 30-year-old Christine Hart-Carmichael of Caribou, Maine.
The investigation into her death has been turned over to the Maine State Police.
