Saint John police say they have identified a woman whose body was found in the city’s harbour.

Police received a report shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday that a group people on a fishing boat had spotted a body floating in the water near Long Wharf.

Police say an autopsy has been conducted and foul play is not suspected in the woman’s death. They have not said how she died.

They say they have concluded their investigation and are in the process of identifying her next of kin.
