The New Brunswick RCMP say slippery roads were a factor in a fatal two-vehicle collision in Lincoln Thursday morning.

Police responded to the crash on Highway 2 before 8 a.m.

Investigators say both vehicles were travelling eastbound when one vehicle lost control and collided with the other, causing it to leave the road and strike a hydro pole.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released any information about the driver at this time.

Police say the investigation is ongoing but slipperyroads were a factor in the crash.

They are reminding drivers to use caution and reduce speed when road conditions are poor.
