A 17-year-old boy is facing charges after he was allegedly caught driving dangerously on school property in Chester, N.S.

The RCMP responded to Chester District School and Chester Area Middle School around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the teen and a male passenger had been driving in an erratic manner on school property, including sidewalks, walkways and the soccer field.

The schools were placed under hold and secure as the situation unfolded.

Police arrested the driver without incident around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

He is facing charges of dangerous driving, mischief, causing a disturbance and breach of probation in connection with the incident.
