HALIFAX - Halifax police are crediting a vigilant citizen with the arrest of a man accused of swiping electronics from vehicles.
The person called police early yesterday morning after spotting someone breaking into vehicles on Saint Clair Avenue in Dartmouth.
Police say a suspect was arrested without incident less than an hour later near a local school.
Electronics and money were recovered.
In addition to the vehicles, police say they also discovered that a garage door at a home had been opened.
They've laid multiple charges against a 37-year-old man, including attempted break and enter, theft and possession under five-thousand dollars.
