Two people are dead and another is seriously injured after a motorcycle and car collided in northeastern New Brunswick.
The RCMP responded to the collision on Highway 8, outside of Bathurst, shortly after 9:40 a.m.
They say the driver of the motorcycle, a 54-year-old man from Eel River Crossing, died as a result of his injuries.
His passenger, a 53-year-old woman from Eel River Crossing, was taken to hospital where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man from Pont Lafrance, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
