Two 19-year-old men from Dartmouth are facing charges after the RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance in Lake Echo, N.S. early Sunday.
Police responded to a home on Highway 7 just before 5:30 a.m. after receiving a complaint that two men were uttering threats and that one of the men allegedly had a handgun.
The men fled the scene before police arrived, but officers managed to locate the suspects with the help of a K9 unit a short time later.
The men were arrested at the scene without incident and police seized two firearms.
Tyjah Borden is facing a total of 17 charges, including careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and mischief, among others.
Bryce Brooks is charged with uttering threats, mischief and trespassing at night.
The incident remains under investigation.
