A 39-year-old man has been charged in connection with an assault at a Moncton nightclub that sent a man to hospital.
The RCMP say the incident happened inside the men’s washroom at The Old Cosmo nightclub around 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 24.
A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He has since been treated and released.
Christopher George Barnes of Moncton appeared in provincial court on Thursday to face a charge of aggravated assault. He was remanded into custody and is due back in court on March 15.
The RCMP say the incident remains under investigation and they are asking anyone who may have witnessed it to contact police
