The RCMP say a 20-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges in connection with a fatal collision in Lincoln, N.B.

Police say the crash happened on Route 102 on Sept. 5, resulting in the death of a 19-year-old passenger.

Blair James Magionas was arrested on Wednesday following an investigation into the incident.

The Lincoln man appeared in Burton provincial court Thursday to face charges of impaired driving causing death, operation of a motor vehicle causing death while having a blood alcohol level of more than 0.08 per cent, and failing to comply with a probation order.

Magionas was released on conditions and is due back in court on Feb. 29 to enter a plea.
