A New Brunswick man has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the 2004 death of a two-year-old girl.        

James Paul Turpin, 37, was charged in June of last year.

Kennedy Corrigan died as a result of a massive brain injury in April 2004. At the time, the injury was said to be the result of a fall in the tub, but new evidence emerged prompting the arrest of Turpin. 

The verdict of second-degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence with no eligibility of parole for at least ten years.
