Three people are facing charges after shots were fired at a vehicle in Yarmouth County early Sunday.

The RCMP say they received a report of a disturbance at a Springhaven, N.S. home around 1 a.m.

While en route to the home, they received a second call indicating that shots had been fired.

Police say they found a vehicle containing five people upon arrival. The vehicle had been shot at, but no one was injured.

Officers searched a home and seized a number of firearms.

A 59-year-old man and 56-year-old woman from Springhaven were arrested in connection with the incident.

Michael James Vacon is facing five counts of attempted murder, one count of careless use of a firearm and four counts of unsafe storage of a firearm. He was remanded into custody.

The woman is facing one count of counseling to commit attempted murder. She was released from custody Sunday evening and is due to appear in court at a later date.

A 19-year-old Springhaven man is also charged in the case. He is due in court on April 27 to face one count of mischief.

The incident remains under investigation.
