A Nova Scotia man is dead after he was struck by a falling tree near New Minas.
Police say the incident happened on Weaver Road in Pereau on Monday.
They say the 52-year-old Kings County man had been cutting down a tree on his property when it fell on him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say his body has been taken to Halifax for an autopsy.
The man’s name is not being released at the request of his family.
