Nova Scotia RCMP say Alex Kennedy Jones, 19, of Centreville, N.S. died after he jumped in the water and failed to resurface.
Just before 5 p.m. Friday afternoon, RCMP say they received a call that a 19-year-old had jumped off a bridge into the water off the Black River Road near Wolfville, N.S.
Jones was last seen going into the water and came up to the surface, but went under again and did not surface.
A Ground Search and Rescue team searched the shoreline and the RCMP requested the services of its Underwater Recovery Team.
Jones’ body was located in the water by divers at 9:15 p.m. Friday.
