FREDERICTON _ New Brunswick's Liberal government is bringing down its provincial budget today.

Finance Minister Roger Melanson has said he's looking for a balance between getting expenditures under control and new sources of revenue for the 2015-16 budget.

The last fiscal update projected the debt to increase by $377.1 million for 2014-15, bringing the total net debt to $12 billion.

The province is also forecasting a $255.4 million deficit for the same time period.

During the last election campaign, the Liberals promised to spend $600 million over six years for improvements on infrastructure including roads and bridges.
