Halifax Regional Police say charges won’t be laid after a military police vehicle was involved in a three-vehicle collision last month.

Police responded to the intersection of Robie and Young streets around 5:30 p.m. on June 29.

Investigators say a military police vehicle was travelling east on Young Street through the intersection when it collided with a vehicle travelling north on Robie Street.

The second vehicle then struck a third vehicle, and the military police vehicle came to a stop after striking the deck of a home at the corner of Robie and Young.

The military police vehicle had its emergency equipment activated at the time of the collision.

Halifax Regional Police have determined that the military police officer was operating the vehicle in a careful and prudent manner, and there are insufficient grounds to charge the driver of the second vehicle.

As a result, police say no charges will be laid.
