NDP Member of Parliament Robert Chisholm joined people in Nova Scotia for National Day of Action on Climate Change in honour of Jack Layton.
The former leader of the NDP had his legacy honoured by people building on his work.
Chisholm went door to door promoting the party’s climate change accountability act.
In 2010, MPs passed Layton’s Climate Change Accountability Act, but it was later struck down in the senate.
