FREDERICTON – On Christmas Day Occupy Fredericton demonstrators will launch their Ten Days of Christmas campaign. It is ten days, instead of twelve to represent what organizers say is the ten per cent of New Brunswickers living in poverty.

Demonstrators plan to occupy the camp site in groups over the next few days. But what comes after the holidays for the demonstrators is still up in the air.

This week, Fredericton Mayor Brad Woodside gave his second ultimatum to occupiers, to dismantle their camp in front of City Hall by New Years Day.

A compromise was reached when Woodside asked occupiers to leave last month, to make way for the city's Christmas tree lighting. Occupiers reduced the size of their camp by nearly half.

This time the mayor says his decision is based on safety, and the weather turning colder.
