A Prince Edward Island man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly entered a Valleyfield home and threatened and assaulted a man inside.

Police say the suspect was shot in the leg during the incident on Nov. 2 and taken to hospital.

The resident of the home, 26-year-old Jerrod Greene, was arrested and is facing charges of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and various firearms offences.

The suspect was released from hospital earlier this month and is now facing charges of entering a residence to commit an indictable offence, assault, and uttering a threat to cause death.

Police say Jacob Johnston is also charged with assault in connection with a separate incident that occurred prior to the alleged assault at Greene’s Valleyfield home.

The 25-year-old Glenmartin man was released on conditions. He is due to appear in court in Georgetown on Jan. 15.

Greene was released from custody on strict conditions and is due back in court on Dec. 18.
