Philippine police have charged four people in connection with the shooting death of a Fredericton businessman, including the man’s widow.
Harry Joseph Doyle was born and raised in Fredericton but moved to the Philippines more than a decade ago.
The 62-year-old was gunned down at a beach resort in Surigao City on Aug. 12 and police are accusing his wife, Jane Doyle, of being one of four people responsible for his death.
Jane Doyle is from the Philippines but police believe she is somewhere in Canada. There is at least one report she may be in the Fredericton area.
Police say they plan to issue an arrest warrant for Doyle, as well as for the couple’s driver and two other male suspects.
Friends of the victim told CTV News last month they believed he may have been the victim of a hit.
