KINGSCLEAR, N.B. -- Police in western New Brunswick are asking for the public's help as they investigate a suspected hit and run that injured a pedestrian near Kingsclear First Nation.

RCMP say a 28-year-old local man left a home in Lower Kingsclear around 4:30 a.m. on Aug. 29 and started walking west on Route 102.

Police believe he was hit by a vehicle.

The man was found lying in the eastbound lane at 5:16  a.m., less than a kilometre from where he started walking.
