Halifax Regional Police are investigating an alleged stabbing after two men were sent to hospital Wednesday morning.

Police responded to a residence on Roleika Drive in Dartmouth around 7:36 a.m. after receiving a report that two men were fighting inside an apartment.

The officers entered the residence and found a 47-year-old Dartmouth man with stab wounds to his face, as well as a 62-year-old man with facial injuries.

The men were taken to separate hospitals with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the incident wasn’t a random act as both men are known to one another.

The incident is under investigation.
