VICTORIA BEACH, N.S. - Police in Nova Scotia searched for a suspect on Monday afternoon in a remote area of Annapolis County after a gunshot was fired into a dump truck in Victoria Beach.

The RCMP say there was no perceived threat to the public, but they asked people to avoid the areas of Victoria Beach, Port Wade, Hillsburn and Delaps Cove.

The Mounties say no one was injured in the incident involving the dump truck, which happened at about 10:15 a.m.

Police say the truck was fired at from a dark-coloured vehicle.
