Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver involved in a pedestrian-vehicle collision in Halifax Wednesday night.

Halifax Regional Police say a 55-year-old woman was in a crosswalk across from the McDonald’s on Lacewood Drive when she was hit and knocked to the ground by a white pickup truck.

The driver stopped to help the pedestrian, but didn’t provide his information.

The woman was able to return home where she was assessed by paramedics, but did not require further treatment.

The driver is described as being five-foot-six, between 30 and 40 years old with a medium build, brown hair and a moustache.

He was wearing jeans at the time of the incident, but no other clothing description is available

Anyone with information on the incident or the driver is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
