A 22-year-old Halifax man is facing charges after a woman was stabbed at a hotel in Dartmouth Tuesday evening.
Police were called to the Holiday Inn on Wyse Road just before 10 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 22-year-old woman with stab wounds to her back and chest.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
He was arrested without incident at a home in the 0-100 block of School Avenue in Halifax shortly after 6 a.m.
He is due to appear in Dartmouth provincial court Thursday to face charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Police say the suspect and victim are known to one another.
