Police in New Brunswick are warning residents about a violent dog on the loose in the St. Stephen area.

RCMP say they were called to a farm on Todds Point Road in Dufferin, N.B. on Saturday after receiving a report of two dogs killing a goat and a donkey.

One of the dogs lunged at the farmer as well, but the farmer was not injured, police say.

One dog was captured and euthanized but the other remains on the loose.

Police describe the animal as a dark bulldog with porcupine quills in and around his face.

Police say they’re unsure how injured the dog is, or whether it’s diseased.

RCMP are advising the public not to approach the dog if spotted, and to call police immediately to report its whereabouts.
