Police say the president of the Saint John Bacchus Motorcycle Club has pleaded guilty to drug charges following raids in New Brunswick.

Brian Schofield, 44, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say the charges were laid following a six-month investigation by the Saint John Police Force, RCMP, Rothesay Regional Police Force and the Canada Border Services Agency.

Officers executed search warrants at Nature’s Way in Saint John, Shampers Bluff Road in Kingston, and Route 102 in Public Landing, in connection with the investigation on Wednesday.

Police seized amounts of methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills, two firearms, ammunition, two brass knuckles and more than $4,100 in cash.

Investigators say the drugs have a street value in excess of $21,000.

Three men, including Schofield, and three women were arrested in the raids.

Schofield was also charged with possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of the proceeds of crime. He pleaded not guilty to those charges.

The Public Landing man was released on house arrest and is due back in court for sentencing on Sept. 5. A trial date will also be set on the charges to which he pleaded not guilty at that time.

Police charged 39-year-old Ryan Wallace, a former Full Patch member of the Saint John Bacchus Motorcycle Club, with possession of Percocet for the purpose of trafficking, possession of two rifles knowing he was not the holder of a licence, possession of a firearm for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and possession of the proceeds of crime.

Wallace, of Shampers Bluff Road, was remanded to custody and is due to appear in court on Monday for a bail hearing.

Lia Olde Damink, 28, of Shampers Bluff Road is charged with possession of Percocet for the purpose of trafficking, possession of two rifles knowing he was not the holder of a licence, possession of a firearm for a purpose dangerous to the public peace and possession of the proceeds of crime, and stealing metoclopramide HCI from the Saint John Regional Hospital.

She was released from custody and is due to enter a plea in court on Sept. 5.

Blaine Beddow, 39, of Nature’s Way is charged with production of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana and possession of the proceeds of crime.

The former member of the Saint John Bacchus Motorcycle Club was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court Monday for a bail hearing.

A 32-year-old woman from Nature’s Way and a 42-year-old woman from Public Landing are also due to appear in court at a later date to face drug charges.
