The RCMP are investigating an alleged home invasion and abduction in Moncton.
Police say a man broke into a home on McLaughlin Drive shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday and took an 18-year-old woman against her will.
Investigators determined the suspect travelled to Miramichi before returning to Moncton. The Miramichi Police Force and other RCMP detachments became involved in the search, along with an RCMP helicopter.
Officers eventually located the victim in Moncton around 8 p.m. Police say she sustained minor physical injuries.
The suspect has been identified but has not yet been arrested.
Police say the man and woman are known to one another. The incident remains under investigation.
