The RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who offered a 12-year-old boy a ride to school in Kennetcook, N.S.

Police say the boy was waiting for a school bus along Highway 354 when an older man approached him in a pickup truck the morning of Nov. 9.

The man offered the boy a ride and persisted to offer even after the boy refused to get in the truck.

Investigators say the suspect eventually drove off.

Police were alerted to the incident Thursday.

The suspect is described as a white man with grey-white hair, 50 to 60 years old.

He was wearing glasses and a tank top at the time of the incident and was driving an old, rusty, beige pickup truck.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
