A Newfoundland and Labrador man is facing drug charges after RCMP seized ten kilograms of cocaine from a vehicle in New Brunswick.

Police stopped the vehicle along the Trans-Canada Highway near Havelock Wednesday and arrested the 30-year-old man at the scene.

Kenneth Peter Kraakman has been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking cocaine.

He appeared in Moncton provincial court Thursday and was remanded into custody, pending a bail hearing today.
