A New Brunswick man has been charged with uttering threats in connection with an incident in Riverview on Monday.

The RCMP responded to a home on Wentworth Drive shortly before 3:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a man may have been holding a woman inside the home against her will.

The man initially refused to exit the home so police set up a perimeter around the area.

The officers were able to speak to the man and he eventually exited the home without incident.

No one was injured.

A 20-year-old Riverview man was arrested at the scene and appeared in Moncton provincial court on Tuesday.

Andrew William Crann has been charged with two counts of uttering death threats. He was released on conditions, and is scheduled to appear in domestic violence court on Sept. 29 to enter a plea.
