A search is underway in the Fredericton area for a 54-year-old woman reported missing from Royal Road, N.B.

Odila Marie Daigle was last seen leaving her residence on Route 620 around 7 p.m. Sunday. She was riding a lime green bicycle, heading north towards Stanley.

The RCMP and the York Sunbury and Carleton County Ground Search and Rescue teams are searching the area, including trails and wooded areas, but have not been able to locate Daigle.

“We have received some good information from the public and we are following up on all of that information,” said West District RCMP Cpl. Marc Fortin. “We continue to ask people to call police with anything that could help us locate Odila Daigle. Even what might seem like a small detail could be helpful.”

Daigle is described as a Caucasian woman with light brown eyes and brown hair. She is five-foot-seven inches tall and weighs about 145 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a red hoodie and dark pants and police say new information suggests she may have been wearing a yellow-T-shirt. She also wears glasses.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police.
