It was a deadly weekend on Prince Edward Island roads as three men were killed in three separate motor vehicle accidents.

 

Motorcyclist killed in crash near Charlottetown

A 30-year-old Stratford man died Saturday when he was thrown from his motorcycle.

Police say Christopher Davis lost control of his bike as he approached the Hillsborough Bridge near the Bunbury exit around 9:30 p.m.

He was thrown from his 2008 Honda CBR1 when the bike hit the curb near the bridge.

Police say he died at the scene and they are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash.

 

Missing man found dead in wreckage

RCMP say an Island man was pulled from the wreckage of a car crash just minutes after he had been reported missing.

The crash happened Saturday on the Trans-Canada Highway near Lower Newton.

Police found the man's body inside a car after they received reports of a vehicle in the ditch among the trees off the highway.

His name has not been released.

 

Man killed in crash at Souris River causeway

Police say a 19-year-old man was killed, and two other men were seriously injured, on Sunday when the car they were in veered off the Souris River causeway and rolled several times before landing in the water.

Mitchell Lesperance of St. Margarets was killed in the crash just before 3 a.m. Sunday and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two males – aged 20 and 27 – are recovering from serious injuries at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Charlottetown.

Police say the car was travelling at a high speed when it crashed and flipped, ejecting everyone inside.

None of them were wearing seatbelts.
