Tough N.S. winter balloons snow clearing budget to $80 million: minister

HALIFAX -- Nova Scotia's transportation minister says the province's snow clearing costs for this year are about $80 million, $23 million more than originally budgeted.

Geoff MacLellan says the extra money will have to be found through appropriation in his department.

The province spent $70 million to clear snow last year.
