Two men are facing charges after a stabbing incident in Dartmouth Wednesday night.

Police responded to a weapons complaint at an apartment building located in the 200-300 block of Pleasant Street just before 7:30 p.m.

They say a fight started between two men. One man was stabbed with a knife during the altercation.

The victim, a 39-year-old Dartmouth resident, suffered a serious, but non life-threatening injury.

Both men are facing charges in connection with the incident.

Police say the stabbing victim is charged with eight counts of breach of recognizance and two counts of violating his probation.

A 50-year-old Dartmouth man suspected in the stabbing is charged with aggravated assault.

Police say the incident is not considered to be a random act.
