Two men are facing charges after a 46-year-old man was stabbed in Yarmouth Thursday morning.

The RCMP were called to a home on Main Street just after 10:30 a.m.

Police say one man got into an altercation with two other men outside the home and he was stabbed in the stomach with a knife.

The man was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The RCMP arrested a 53-year-old man and a 30-year-old man, both from Yarmouth, Thursday morning.

The men are facing a number of charges and will be held in custody overnight, pending an appearance Friday in Yarmouth provincial court.

Police say the men were known to one another.

The incident remains under investigation.
