A man and woman have been arrested following a weapons complaint in Halifax’s north end.

At around 6:40 a.m. Sunday, Halifax Regional Police say they responded to a weapons complaint in the 2000 block of Middle Lane in Halifax.

Police say they received information that a man was in possession of a knife and was threatening another person at the address.

During a search of the residence an adult male and female were taken into custody without incident by Emergency Response Team officers.

No one was injured during the incident.

A 26-year-old man from the Halifax area has been charged with Breach of the Peace and a 23-year-old woman from the Dartmouth area has been charged with Failing to Attend Court and Breach of a Court Order. She will attend Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
