Two teenagers will face a judge today after allegedly robbing two women in Dartmouth Sunday night.

Halifax Regional Police say the incident happened shortly before 9 p.m. on a path behind Parker Street.

Police say the suspects approached two women in their early 20s and asked for a cigarette.

After one woman pulled out a package of cigarettes, one of the suspects attempted to take it.

One of the teens then pulled out a knife and demanded the victims hand over the cigarettes and their backpacks.

The suspects fled the scene but were located a short time later and were arrested without incident.

The 15 and 16-year-old suspects were held in custody overnight.
