Four people have been arrested after a 21-year-old man was stabbed in Louisdale, N.S. Friday evening.

Richmond County RCMP responded to a 911 call around 11:53 p.m. Friday. They allege a man had been stabbed several times by four males between the ages of 17 and 21.

The victim was taken to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish, where he remains in serious condition.

Police arrested 18-year-old Richard David Polchies and a 17-year-old male youth, both of Potlotek, in connection with the incident. They each face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and robbery.

Police had been seeking two more suspects in connection with the stabbing. A 21-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, both of Potlotek, were arrested after they turned themselves in to RCMP Monday morning.

The men were taken into custody and will appear in court at a later date.

Investigators say the incident was not a random act as the suspects and victim are known to one another.
