Management at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre is asking people not to visit patients so they can stop the spread of influenza.

They say several patients at the hospital are experiencing influenza symptoms.

The management also advises there are special provisions concerning patient visits for the Obstetrics Unit, the Pediatrics Unit, the Intensive Care Unit as well as Palliative services.

They are asking for those who do visit units where visits are allowed to wash their hands with soap and water or use the antiseptic solution available upon entry at the hospital and upon leaving the patient’s room and to proceed home immediately after the visit.
