Crews are working to repair a broken water main in Halifax’s south end, outside the IWK Health Centre.

Water was gushing out onto South Street near Robie Street early Thursday morning.

The water has been shut off in the area to stop the flooding, but Halifax Water says service has not been affected at the IWK Health Centre or at Gorsebrook Junior High School.

Halifax Water says drivers should expect traffic delays on South Street between Robie and Wellington streets while crews work to repair the water main.
