Hi Everyone!

I spent some time with a Maritime designer whose clothes will be featured in British Vogue this fall.

She’s building a name for herself in the fashion world one tartan at a time.  Veronica McIsaac takes traditional textiles and creates fashion-forward styles that have made their way in to the mainstream market.

Seriously, I’m talking about chic pieces that you can wear - anywhere!  From casual to very formal, Veronica MacIsaac Apparel covers a broad spectrum of style.

The Halifax-native grew up in Nova Scotia enjoying all aspects of Celtic culture… from highland dancing to piping, she says she was immersed in her ancestor’s traditions from a very young age.  Her parents even make kilts for a living!  So it was a natural fit for Veronica to go in to the fashion industry, but even more natural to gather inspiration from her roots.

Veronica has truly broken all the stereotypes surrounding female tartan fashions.  Her designs are fresh, edgy and wearable!  It’s a great way to show off your family heritage in a modern way.  Now that’s a conversation starter!

From kids to seniors, she’s made clothes for every age group!  Plus, she’s willing to work with your old fabrics!  Have a retired kilt you want to bring back in to your fashion rotation?  Veronica can incorporate it in to an item you’ll treasure for life.

As for the boys?  Veronica is working on a men’s collection, due this Fall!

A big thanks to Veronica and her lovely models for showing off their duds today!
