Halifax firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a home in West Porters Lake early Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the fire around 2:45 a.m., but the house was already fully engulfed when they arrived.
Officials say no one was injured, and that the homeowners were away at the time the fire broke out.
Fire crews remained at the scene until shortly after 10:30 a.m., but say the two-storey house is a total loss.
Investigators are still searching for the cause.
