One woman is dead and four others are seriously injured after a two-vehicle collision in Lake Echo, N.S., on Sunday.
Halifax District RCMP say the crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. near Exit 18 on Highway 107.
Police say the crash happened when a Dodge Caravan and a Volkswagen Jetta collided in the westbound lane, approximately 500 metres east of Exit 18.
The woman in the Jetta died at the scene, according to police.
Four occupants in the van – two adults and two children – were sent to hospital with serious injuries.
The highway is currently closed in both directions.
