A Halifax Metro Transit bus driver has been ticketed after a pedestrian was hit in a Dartmouth crosswalk Friday morning.

Police say a 22-year-old woman was crossing Portland Street near the Portland Hills bus terminal around 7 a.m. when she was struck by the bus.

The woman was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Passengers were moved to another bus.

The 43-year-old bus driver was ticketed and fined.
