A woman was taken to hospital with a broken leg after being hit by a vehicle while walking on a sidewalk.
The 50-year-old woman was walking on a Halifax area sidewalk Thursday afternoon when police say the driver of a car lost control and slid into the woman.
Police are still investigating and reminding motorists to be extra cautious if they have to be on the roads in the slick conditions.
