Police in Fredericton say a $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest or conviction in the case of a man who was found seriously injured last month.

Officers were called to the area of Douglas Avenue and Main Street around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13. They found a man who had sustained serious injuries and was unresponsive.

Peter Bryden, 46, remains in stable condition at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Police say Bryden had attended the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival Friday evening.

Investigators believe he was assaulted but have yet to make an arrest in the case.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information in the case, while concerned citizens have raised another $8,000, bringing the total reward to $10,000.

Police say they are continuing to follow up on leads and have interviewed several people in connection with the incident.

They are asking anyone with information to come forward. Anyone who provides a tip that leads to an arrest or conviction in the case will be eligible for a portion of the total cash reward.
