Anyone who visited or worked at the following locations on the date and time listed below should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, following the day of exposure. Public Health is now offering COVID-19 testing for all New Brunswickers who have been in a public exposure area, even it they are not currently experiencing any symptoms. Residents may request a test online or call Tele-Care 811 to get an appointment at the nearest screening centre.

  • between 3:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., on Sunday, April 11, and Monday, April 12.
  • Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre emergency department, 330 Université, Moncton
  • between 5:45 a.m. and 1 p.m., on Monday, April 12.

Public Health has identified a positive case in a traveller who may have been infectious on the following flights:

  • Air Canada Flight 8906 on April 15
  • Travelling from Montreal to Moncton, departed at 7:08 p.m.
     
  • Air Canada Flight 318 on April 15
  • Travelling from Calgary to Montreal departed at 11:53 a.m.

Public Health has identified a potential public exposure to the virus at the Greater Saint John YMCA:

  • YMCA of Greater Saint John, at 191 Churchill Blvd., on Thursday, April 1, between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

People who visited this location between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 1 should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days. Should any COVID-19 symptoms develop, they are directed to self-isolate and take the self-assessment online or to call 811 to get tested.

Those symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • A new cough, or worsening chronic cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny nose
  • Headache
  • A new onset of fatigue
  • Diarrhea

  • Loss of sense of smell
  • In children, purple markings on the fingers and toes
